Rode NTG3 Shotgun Mic Review / Test

Today I review the Rode NTG3, a very popular shotgun microphone that directly competes with the MKH416. This has a large present, treble, and air boost, but it doesn’t sacrifice anything in the low-end. It offers a full and well rounded body, while maintaining clarity in the top. This shotgun does pick up a bit more ambient noise than it’s competition in the MKH416, but that’s the trade off you’re making for the added low end.
