Sennheiser MKH-416 Short Shotgun Mic Review / Test

Today I review the Sennheiser MKH-416 shotgun microphone, an industry standard for boom and voice over. This thing has a large presence, treble, and air boost to provide plenty of clarity, and it rolls off frequencies below 100Hz to decrease handling and wind noise. It also does an excellent job at rejecting ambient noise and focussing on what you’re point it at.
