Shure PGA27 XLR Condenser Mic Review / Test

Today we’re looking at a large diaphragm XLR condenser microphone from Shure; the PGA27. This mic has a a significant boost in the presence and air ranges peaking at +7 and +8dB respectively. It also lacks a little bit in the low end which leads this mic to sounding rather top heavy, unless you utilize the proximity effect for your benefit. What do you think of this mic?
