Neumann BCM 705 Dynamic Mic Review / Test

Today I review a Broadcast Radio microphone from Neumann, the BCM-705. This microphone has hyper-cardioid polar pattern to pick up less background noise and bleed from cohosts, a bass roll off beginning around 250-300Hz to allow you to close talk the microphone without developing an overwhelming proximity effect, and a presence boost beginning around 2kHz to add clarity for spoken word. The shock mount is surprisingly effective, and I found the plosive rejection to be very adequate as well.
