blackfridaydeals.jpg

I have received a few requests to do an video of the Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals that seem awesome to me. I opted to skip the video and just do an article listing all the deals I have found. I will only be recommending gear that I have tested or used, and actually enjoy.

AUDIO

Audio Technica AT2005USB: $40 discount

There are 3 mics that I recommend to almost all beginning streamers and podcasters, the Samson Q2u, the ATR2100USB or the AT2005USB. All three are dynamic xlr and usb microphones. They do a good job with background noise rejection, and sound pretty good connected over usb, and the AT2005USB is currently discounted $20 on Sweetwater or on amazon.

Lewitt LCT440 Pure: $50 Discount

This is an absolutely stellar large diaphragm condenser microphone. Many people view this as one of the best sub $500 condenser mic. So if you’re looking to grab a high quality condenser, now’s the time. It is currently discounted $50 on amazon!

AKG P120: 10% Discount

It is absolutely not one of my favorite microphones, but it’s pretty usable and for a price of $80, I don’t think you can go wrong. It’s currently discounted 10% on sweetwater.

Audio Technica AT2035: $20 Discount

Out of the AT2020/AT2035/AT2050, the 2035 was my favorite of the bunch. If you’re looking to grab one of these microphones, the AT2035 is currently discounted $20 on sweetwater.

AKG C414 XLS & XLII: $300 Discount + 10% Discount

These are both studio staples and now is the time to pick one up. PewDiePie uses the C414 XLII which is a more presence boosted microphone, and the XLS offers a more neutral sound signature. They’re both multi-pattern condenser microphones they sound great. They C414 XLII and C414 XLS are both discounted $300 + an additional 10% discount on sweetwater. They have the same discount on Amazon: C414 XLII / C414 XLS

Shure SE425 and SE535: $60 / $100 discount

I have stopped using bluetooth ear buds and have reverted to wired in ear monitors. The monitors I use daily are the SE425 or the SE535. They are a bit on the bright side but they are excellent at sound isolation, and comfort. The SE425 wired are $60 off on sweetwater, and the SE535 are $100 off on sweetwater.

Neumann TLM102 / TLM103 / KMS105: $201 / $140 discount

The TLM103 is a presence boosted large diaphragm condenser that is widely used for voice over. The thing sounds incredible especially when you engage the proximity effect. It is currently discounted by $201 on sweetwater or on amazon.

The TLM102 has a much smaller foot print than the TLM103, and has a very different sound. The presence boost starts about 1khz higher, and this reduces some of the nasally tones. If you’re looking for a more affordable Neumann, this is a great jumping in point. It is discounted $140 at sweetwater or on amazon.

The KMS105 is a handheld condenser designed for stage use as it does a pretty respectabble job at background noise rejection. However, I rather enjoyed this thing in my studio for use on my podcast as well. If you’re looking for a handheld condenser, and you want an amazing tone, this is a great option. It is currently discounted $140 at sweetwater or on amazon.

STREAMING

Elgato Stream Deck: $50 discount

If you use OBS and have multiple scenes for streaming, this is a must have. It removes the need for hot key shortcuts and allows you to use buttons to switch between scenes and simplify your stream. It’s currently $50 discounted on amazon.

Elgato Cam Link 4k: $30 discount

If you have a camera that offers a clean HDMI output and you want to have an amazing looking webcam, this is what you need. It allows you to use a DSLR as your webcam. I use this in conjunction with my Canon 90d. It’s currently discounted $30 on amazon.

Keychron K2 Wireless Mechnical Keyboard: $38 discount

This is my current keyboard and I absolutely love it. I use the version with blue switches and it feels and sounds excellent and has a really decent battery life in my experience. It is currently discounted $38 on amazon.
